Tradition of Caring

Continued Commitment: Then and Now

The same community generosity that founded Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in 1959 (then known as Adams County Memorial Hospital) exists today in the Memorial Healthcare Foundation.

Today, many individuals and businesses demonstrate their support of local healthcare with gifts to the Memorial Healthcare Foundation. The Foundation helps financially support hospital projects based on the needs of the community.

In early 2004, the Foundation concluded a successful capital campaign for the hospital's 5.5 million dollar expansion. Thanks to the community's generosity, the Foundation raised $830,893 for the project, exceeding the goal of $600,000.

The Foundation continues to play an important role in improving healthcare for our community.
What’s Ahead?

Endowment Fund Established
The Foundation has established an endowment fund for donations that will be used for the long-term growth of the hospital. Funds contributed to the endowment would be kept in a permanent fund and invested to allow the dollars to grow. Eventually, the interest and dividend income from the investment would be used for improvements to the hospital and clinic.

The original donation will remain invested and will not be spent. Donors can rely on their endowment funds to provide benefits to the hospital and clinic for generations to come. Giving to an endowment fund means that you are literally funding the future. Every dollar keeps giving in perpetuity.

If you are interested in contributing to the endowment fund, please contact the Foundation at (608) 339-8371 or visit our web site at http://foundation.moundview.org. Beginning this year, ten percent of all earnings from Foundation fundraising events will also be placed in the endowment fund. With your help, we can build a solid Foundation and a brighter future for all!
