Report to the Community

February 2008

We continue to thank and appreciate the on-going support of the residents and businesses of Adams County and surrounding communities. It is through your generosity that the Memorial Healthcare Foundation experienced another successful year.

The primary fund raising events continue to grow in both participants and dollars earned.
• Casino Night held on the last Saturday in January 2008 netted over $2900, an increase over 2007.

• Golf Outing held in June 2007 at Lake Arrowhead Lake Course for the 4th year netted over $6300 with over 60 golfers participating in the 18-hole event. This year’s outing will again be held at Lake Arrowhead on June 22, 2008.

• The Annual Dinner/Auction was held in October at Cedar Shack. There will not be a dinner/auction this year but will change to April in 2009. Watch for new date
• The Tree of Life remains a popular visual opportunity to memorialize loved family members and friends.

• The Endowment Fund is now at over $26,000. Undesignated donations, all Tree of Life donations, 10% of the proceeds from all events plus MMH&C employee payroll deductions have contributed to establishing and adding to its growth. A special donation was received from Richard & Verla Lysy in 2007.

As part of meeting the Foundation’s vision and mission the Foundation supports the community with the following:
