Foundation Report 2010

The Foundation had another successful fundraising year. We had great turnouts for our dinner/auction and golf outing. We used our funds this year for high school scholarships, sponsoring events such as women’s night out, rural safety days, kid’s day, the national child safety council and the partners’ annual affair to remember.

Directly to the hospital we donated a ventilator for the emergency department, surgical equipment for the operating room, new blinds for patient rooms, a blood bank refrigerator in conjunction with the Partners of MMH&C and money for Moundview employee appreciation events.

We also received several donations to our Tree of Life, located in the hospital lobby. These funds go into our endowment fund unless otherwise specified by the donor. For example, one of our donors requested their gift from their sister’s estate, a former patient, be given half to the Foundation and half to nurse/social service education because of the wonderful care provided at the hospital. You may have seen the related article and photo in the paper.
